A group of curious South OC students started meeting to learn cybersecurity together. That year, members also took part in picoCTF.

Our story
South OC Cyber Club started in 2024 with a few curious students. Today we meet every other Sunday in Rancho Santa Margarita.
How it started
Why we started
Students in our community were curious about cybersecurity: how networks work, how things break, and how to protect them. But there wasn't a local place to explore it together.
So in 2024 we started our own: a local club where students from Tesoro High and schools across South Orange County learn cybersecurity together.
Since then we've grown into a regular club that meets every other Sunday. Members follow their own interests, whether that's Linux, networking, lockpicking, or teaching cyber safety to the community.

Hack The Box
We took on Hack The Box in 2025, working through realistic security challenges together.
2026
DEF CON
Club members attended DEF CON 2026 in Las Vegas, one of the world's largest security conferences.
